Vintage 14ct Gold Black Onyx Rectangular Cufflinks 9g Boxed
A handsome pair of vintage gentleman’s cufflinks, each featuring a polished rectangular black onyx panel set within a warm 14-carat gold mount.
The cufflinks have attractive twisted-rope borders along the upper and lower edges, giving them a smart and distinctive mid-century appearance. They are fitted with traditional swivel-bar fastenings, with one fitting stamped 14C.
Each cufflink face measures approximately 17mm wide × 15mm high. The pair has a combined gross weight of approximately 9.0g, including the onyx panels.
Presented in a vintage jewellery box bearing the details of a jeweller formerly at 4 Cheam Road, Sutton, Surrey. The box is included for presentation, although I cannot confirm that it was originally supplied with the cufflinks.
A stylish and very wearable pair of vintage 14-carat gold and black onyx cufflinks.
Good vintage condition. The polished onyx panels remain glossy, with a few light surface marks and tiny specks visible under close inspection. The gold mounts show light surface wear consistent with previous use, together with slight discolouration or residue around parts of the twisted borders.
The swivel-bar fittings are complete and working correctly. The vintage presentation box has some marks and wear to its exterior and interior lining.
